Lesson Plan 10/4-10/8

 Reminders

Monday October 4th Mass at 9:00am, parents are welcomed to join us but have to sit towards the back of the church. Tuesday October 5th students will be taking the NWEA MAP test in mathematics, information regarding this computer exam were on the school's blog. School will be closed Monday October 11th for Columbus holiday.

Science-  Science Skills; How do we use science skills: through observation, measuring, comparing, sorting
Social Studies- Learning about self; continued

Lesson Plan 9/27-10/1/21

 Reminders
Catapult title I after school program has changed its schedule for kindergarten, so the students enrolled in the title I catapult program, please note it will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm please remember that if your child is enrolled in this program they will not do homework with them.  It is a supplemental program to reinforce in the area of math and reading, therefore it is your responsibility to help them with homework. Please ensure that homework is completed daily and that you are checking the blog daily. I am still missing parent emails, so I can invite you into the google classroom. Please send your email ASAP if you haven't already done so.

Lesson Plan Sept.20-Sept.24, 2021

Reminders
Students now have a school email and they will have access to google classroom to complete tasks for homework, please be advised that the google passwords will be sent home this week in their homework folder. It will be on an index card with your child's email along with the password, it is imperative that homework is done and turned in daily. Please do not forget to check your child's backpack daily for any assignments or papers sent from school. If for some reason you have an issue logging into the google classroom please email me and I will guide you. Please send an email on an index card where I can invite you the parent to the google classroom so that you are able to see assignments, quizzes etc. Parents who signed up for the title I after school program please check the school blog for days and time of program

( Have your child dictate the sentence to you and then you help them to write down what they said and then have them copy what you wrote down as their sentence. For e.g. the child says "I like school" you would help them write that sentence in their blue hw notebook)

Lesson Plan Sept.13 thru Sept.17, 2021

 Reminders
Wednesday Mass at 9:00 am. All paperwork and two (2) emergency cards must be filled out and brought to school by the end of this week. The blog should be checked daily for announcements and homework. Many students are missing the blue notebook from our school supply store please check with me to see if your child has the notebook or send $1.75 to purchase them here at the school. You may also send an activity book if your child is dropped off early at school in the mornings so they have something to keep them busy. Please make sure your child has all their supplies by the end of this week.

Week of 9/8-9/10

Reminders 
No homework this week, but next week we will begin in the swing of things. Please check your child's backpack daily for announcements and paperwork. This afternoon Wednesday your child had a folder enclosed with paperwork that needs to be completed ASAP, or before Friday Sept.17th, please know that it is imperative to work with your child at home to ensure their academic progress and goals are met. Please ask if you are unsure about something.
Tomorrow Friday 9/10
Students should be in gym uniform
Please make sure to fill out all paperwork and return to school ASAP, two emergency cards are needed because one stays in the classroom and the other goes to the school office for emergencies.
A parent is sending pizza and cupcakes for a child's birthday therefore if you do not wish to send your child with lunch tomorrow that is your decision.
Please remember that all supplies should be sent within next week so that we are ready and children have all the materials they need to learn in class.

Supply List 2021-2022 Academic School Year

 Dear Parent/Guardians,

Please find in the list below the supplies your child will need for the kindergarten school year.
6 pocket folders from the school supply store (any color is fine, as these are very sturdy and have pockets in the front and back in addition to the pockets inside)
1 blue notebook from the school supply store, any other notebook will not be accepted
1 draw and write journal notebook available at staples or lakeshore (not construction paper)
1 pack of Triconderoga pencils, if child has issues with grip please purchase pencil grips
1 large eraser
1 child friendly scissor
1 large pencil case, large enough to fit crayons, glue stick, pencil, scissor, erasers, etc.
2 packs of crayola crayons
1 small white board, 1 dry erase marker, 1eraser for the white board
1 pack of index cards (100 at least) 
1 glue stick
2 reams of white printing paper
2 box of tissues
1 lysol or clorox dispensing wipes
1 roll of paper towels
1  pack of baby wipes (not mandatory)
1 pack of ziplock sandwich bags (these are for classroom materials, activities etc.)
1 pack of ziplock / hefty 2.5 gallon size bags (jumbo), make sure it has the zipper so your child can easily pack and unpack their belongings daily as all their stuff will be put in this bag by their desk. 
A change of clothes is necessary and mandatory (underwear, socks, pants, and shirt in case of accident/sick) please place these clothes in a large ziplock back and label it with your child's name. 
Through out the school year I will inform you of any supplies that may need to be replenished, your donations of classroom supplies are always accepted and greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help. If you have any questions concerning the supplies please feel free to ask. A friendly reminder to label all of your child's belongings and supplies.

Week of 6/21-6/25

 Reminders
Please continue to practice for graduation the songs were posted on the blog about two weeks ago. Last day of class for Kindergarten will be Tuesday June 22nd. The graduation ceremony will be Wednesday June 23rd all students are invited to join us at the church at 10:00am, students should be here by 9:30 to line them accordingly. No lesson plans, homework, or sight words this week.
It has truly been my pleasure teaching your children this year, I know it was difficult given the circumstances but we have made it through. 



Tomorrow Tuesday 6/22 Students may wear dress up clothes to attend the prek classes (Mrs.Fundora and Mrs.Rodriguez) graduation at church otherwise they may wear their school uniform. Also please send a large bag with your child tomorrow Tuesday to pack up the rest of their books and belongings for the school year.
